Greenwich Nursery and Pre-School

Located in a large purpose-built setting with the garden accessed from all the rooms, our day nursery and pre-school, Little Cubs Academy in Greenwich, is just a stone’s throw from Maze Hill station, only 5 minutes’ walk from Greenwich Peninsula and The River Gardens, and a short drive from Charlton and Blackheath. The nursery and pre-school is open from 7.30am to 6pm, 51 weeks a year for children from 3 months to 5 years of age.

The setting has been designed with natural, sustainable, neutral materials and colours to create a calm, warm environment, and is regularly updated with new toys, equipment and educational resources. There is also a purpose built sensory room for the under 3’s, and amazing free-flow areas for all age groups .

The Little Cubs Academy in Greenwich has fantastic outside area features including a planting and growing area, mud kitchen and sand boxes. We like to give our children the broadest range of experiences with the best quality providers, so alongside our programme of activities linked to the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), we also offer a very diverse selection of all-inclusive activities such as forest school in nearby woodland, cooking, yoga, sport, French, drama, music, dance classes, PE, and regular visits to Greenwich Deer Park, The Queen’s Orchard fruit and vegetable garden, Greenwich Ecology Park, and Mudchute Farm, one of the biggest inner-city farms in Europe.

Our Spacious Day Nursery Rooms Greenwich

A fresh approach to early years education

At Little Cubs Academy, we feel it’s important to sometimes look backwards and to not always view looking forwards, always innovating is not the sole route to success. At our Day Nursery in Greenwich, as well as creating engaging environments our methodologies also teach and promote:

  • Communication and language
  • Physical development
  • Personal, social and emotional development,
  • Literacy
  • Mathematics
  • Understanding the world
  • Expressive arts and design

We fundamentally believe that traditional teaching methods paired with core values of love, care, compassion, honesty, equality, and nurture, should be at the heart of everything that we do. Find out more about us by reading our story
