We think that strong relationships with parents are a vital part of helping children feel at home at Little Cubs Academy. The closer our partnership and the more open our communication, the more rewarding your child’s time in the nursery and pre-school will be.
If you have a routine you follow at home that you’d like us to carry through into the nursery, let us know. If your child is worried about something, or has an achievement to celebrate, then we’d love to hear about it. The more consistently we can meet their needs, the more secure they will feel and the happier they will be.
We publish monthly newsletters, have parent suggestion boxes and ask for feedback via an annual parents’ questionnaire. Parents are invited in every six months for parent-teacher meetings to discuss each child’s learning journey, but we welcome informal chats at any time – our door is always open.
Our app-based parent portal is one of the ways we communicate with parents. For babies, you can track how long they’ve slept, what they’ve eaten, nappy changes and how much milk they’ve had. With older children, our team will share photos and observations about what’s been happening that day. It’s also a useful way to check booked sessions, see monthly invoices and share information with us.
